Stuart has advised on the procurement of social infrastructure through public private partnerships. In particular, Stuart has advised State Government agencies in the procurement of hospital development and redevelopment projects including the Royal North Shore Hospital and Newcastle Mater Hospital redevelopments in New South Wales and the Royal Adelaide Hospital development in South Australia.
Stuart has also advised on the procurement, acquisition and management of infrastructure in the road, rail, water, ports and sports and leisure sectors. These projects have included:
- the latest generation of tollroads in Sydney;
- a groundbreaking recycling project in metropolitan Sydney;
- the acquisition by the Commonwealth Government of interstate freight rail network;
- the acquisition of new rolling stock for the Sydney Metropolitan commuter rail network though a public private partnership;
- the construction of new coal loader facilities at Kooragang Island in the port of Newcastle;
- the ongoing management of key venues constructed for the Sydney Olympics
