With over 20 years' experience, Stuart Byrne is ranked as one of the top securities law and capital market practitioners in Australia, and is the national head of our Equity Capital Markets team.

He offers a wealth of experience advising companies and the major investment banks in Australia across the full spectrum of unlisted and listed fund raising transactions.

Stuart's strong client focus and broad skills in public and private corporate and commercial work underpin his advice to ASX-listed and unlisted issuers, and investment banks, on initial public offerings, placements and general capital raisings, listed investment company and trust vehicles, rights issues, accelerated renounceable and non-renounceable entitlement offers, placements, share purchase plans and dividend reinvestment plans. He has a particular understanding of the needs of foreign investors and regularly works with them on capital raisings in or from Australia.

He advises issuers and investment banks on institutional and retail hybrid security, convertible note and debt offers, and on refinancing or restructuring transactions with equity or hybrid components.

Stuart complements this with an in-depth understanding of head office work, including corporate governance, continuous disclosure and executive and employee incentive plans, and on mergers and acquisitions, particularly in connection with initial public offerings.
