Jeffrey Lum

Jeffrey Lum is an experienced indirect tax advisor and legal practitioner with a strong focus on GST and has also previously advised on stamp duty and land tax. He has a proven track-record in helping clients to successfully manage ATO compliance activity.

Having initially commenced his career with Clayton Utz, Jeffrey has advised clients on GST since implementation in 2000. With further experience gained from leading the indirect tax functions at Macquarie Bank Limited and Challenger Limited, Jeffrey brings a unique perspective to advising clients. He combines technical expertise with a practical understanding of business operations, risk management and an ability to identify opportunities to add value.

Jeffrey has been extensively involved with industry bodies such as the Financial Services Council and Property Council of Australia over many years and has established industry connections while gaining a deep understanding of industry issues and practices.

His commercial background, combined with an innovative and logical approach to problem solving, ensures he delivers simple and practical advice to clients.
