Clayton Utz is pleased to have advised InfraRed Capital Partners (InfraRed), the international infrastructure investment manager, on its acquisition of C3 Limited (C3), a leading port logistics and materials handling platform in Australia and New Zealand.

C3 provides port logistics and materials handling services to blue-chip customers in Australia and New Zealand, supporting critical import and export supply chains in both countries.

The acquisition marks a significant investment by InfraRed in the trans-Tasman logistics sector.

The Clayton Utz team was led by Partner and Head of Private Equity Mark Malinas and senior associate Daniel Conti, with key support from lawyers Jayshiv Rewal and Alexandra Rawson-Harris.

They were supported by a large multidisciplinary team, including Banking and Finance partner Kate O'Donovan and senior associate Andrew Jackson, and specialists from the firm's Real Estate, Environment & Planning, Employment, Intellectual Property and Information Technology, and Competition practices. Clayton Utz worked closely with New Zealand law firm Chapman Tripp.

Commenting on the transaction, lead partner Mark Malinas said:

We're delighted to have supported InfraRed on this significant platform acquisition.

The transaction highlights the continued strength of the infrastructure sector in Australia and New Zealand, as well as Clayton Utz's capability in advising sophisticated private capital clients on complex cross-border transactions.
