Media release: Clayton Utz advises Wyloo on successful completion of its entry into a rare earths joint venture with Hastings Technology Metals

Clayton Utz has advised Wyloo Metals, a wholly-owned portfolio company of Tattarang, on the completion of its acquisition of a 60% interest in the Yangibana Rare Earths and Niobium Project in Western Australia from Hastings Technology Metals Ltd (ASX: HAS).
The milestone builds on the firm's role in advising Wyloo on the terms of its joint venture with Hastings Technology Metals in February 2025, when the transaction was announced to market.
The transaction was led by Corporate and Energy and Resources partner Stephen Neale with support from special counsel Armin Fazely and senior lawyer Clinton Wang, together with Banking and Finance partner Rohan Mishra and senior associate James Allen.
Mr Neale said the firm was pleased to have supported Wyloo.
The completion of this joint venture marks an important step in progressing the Yangibana Rare Earths Project and supporting the growth of Australia’s critical minerals sector.
Clayton Utz has a long-standing relationship with Wyloo, having previously acted on its $150 million cornerstone investment in Hastings which completed in October 2022.
