Retail banking sector names Clayton Utz as Law Firm of the Year

Sydney, 29 May 2017: Clayton Utz was named Law Firm of the Year at the 2017 Australian Retail Banking Awards in Sydney last week, the second consecutive year Clayton Utz has won this award.

The Law Firm of the Year award recognises market leadership and legal expertise across banking and finance law and practice. It also considers progress in client services, business development, innovation, employee development, diversity and social responsibility.

Deputy Chief Executive Partner and Banking and Financial Services national practice group leader Bruce Cooper was delighted to accept the award on behalf of the firm.

"Our teams work for our banking clients at the complex and critical end of the legal spectrum. Many of those clients are key players and so drive innovation in the retail banking industry. Being recognised among them and by the wider industry makes this accolade an important achievement which showcases our "pointy end" expertise."
