Media Release: Clayton Utz's Shae McCartney and Mark Geritz among winners at the 2018 Partner of the Year Awards

Brisbane, 28 June 2018: Clayton Utz partners Shae McCartney and Mark Geritz were among a handful of senior legal practitioners to be recognised for their professional achievements, leadership and broader contributions to the legal profession at the third annual Lawyers Weekly Partner of the Year Awards in Sydney on 15 June.

Shae, who coordinates the national Safety practice group, was named Partner of the Year in Workplace Health and Safety Relations, while corporate partner Mark secured the awards for both Native Title Partner of the Year and Projects, Energy and Resources Partner of the Year. Shae and Mark were among 23 winners selected from over 150 finalists across 25 award categories.

Commenting on her accolade, Shae credited the success to her team and clients. "I work with an incredible bunch of people, and it's their hard work, dedication and support that have enabled me to excel professionally. I'm also grateful to my clients - they place their trust in me and the firm to ensure the safety of their workers and businesses, and this has helped us achieve fantastic outcomes together."

Mark was similarly delighted to be recognised among his peers and was humbled by the dual recognition. "There were so many outstanding finalists who were all very worthy of these awards. To be recognised, not just once but twice among such talent speaks volumes about the calibre of our wonderful team at Clayton Utz and the clients we work with."
