Notable Work
  • EQT Infrastructure: acted as Australian counsel on its recommended public offer for OX2, a leading renewable energy platform, offer valued at approximately A$2.3bn.
  • Squadron Energy: advised on its acquisition of CWP Renewables, comprising of a broad portfolio of wind, solar and firming projects in New South Wales and Victoria, the largest renewable energy portfolio sale in Australian history and winner of the Mergermarket Australian M&A Awards 2023 Infrastructure Deal of the Year.
  • Enel Green Power Australia: advised on the establishment of an Australian renewable energy co-investment platform with Japanese oil and gas major INPEX (including initial A$326 million sell-down of 50% of Enel Green Power Australia's business). 
  • Idemitsu: advising on a proposed 250MW Pumped Hydro Project to be developed in the Hunter region in New South Wales (a joint venture with between Idemitsu and AGL).
  • Alinta Energy: advised on co-development arrangements with Parkwind to build, own and operate the Spinifex offshore wind farm, to be located near Portland in Victoria, Australia, including the initial sell-down of a 50% interest in the project to Parkwind. 
  • Japan Suiso Energy: advising on the co-development of a commercial-scale hydrogen production, liquefaction, storage and export facilities at the Port of Hastings, Australia, targeting an export capacity of 2.55 billion cubic meter per annum by mid-2030s, supported by a multi-billion dollar  Japanese government grant.
  • ENERPARC AG: advising this German-headquartered renewable energy project developer, on the sale of its Australian solar photovoltaic (PV) generation portfolio to the investment arm of the world’s largest IKEA retailer, Ingka Group.
  • Idemitsu: advising on its recent acquisition of 15% of Western Australian lithium, explorer Delta Lithium Limited (ASX:DLI) via private share placement, sale of its interest in Ensham coal mine (operated in joint venture with LG).
  • Ecora Resources PLC (previously Anglo Pacific): advised on its acquisition of a high-quality portfolio of royalties from South32 over advanced development stage copper and nickel projects across multiple jurisdictions (including Australia, South America and USA).
  • Maverix Metals Inc (Now Triple Flag): advised on the acquisition of a portfolio of 22 royalties (the Royalty Portfolio) from Barrick Gold Corp. The Royalty Portfolio comprises 22 royalties, including on development, advanced exploration and exploration stage projects located predominantly in Canada, the United States, and Australia.
  • JOGMEC and Sojitz Corporation / Japan Australia Rare Earths B.V: acting on a transaction involving both equity and debt financing equity and debt finance transaction with ASX-listed Lynas Corporation, which produces one of the world highest grade rare earths in Mt Weld mine in Western Australia, and continues to act for JARE in relation to the ongoing relationship with Lynas Corporation.
