Clive runs the Perth Major Projects and Construction team at Clayton Utz and has almost 20 years' experience working on major construction, engineering and resource projects.

Clive has represented clients in mediation, adjudication, arbitration and litigation in Australia, the UK, Africa, India, Indonesia and more broadly across the Asia Pacific region and has leading credentials in Australia in domestic and international arbitration. He regularly acts on major disputes across the construction, energy and resources industries, including appearing as counsel in arbitrations and on procedural applications in the Australian Federal and Supreme Courts relating to international and commercial arbitrations.

Clive advises government, private owners, financiers, contractors and engineers on large-scale Australian and international mineral, oil, gas, energy and infrastructure projects. He advised the MRA in regard to the redevelopment of Scarborough Beach, Western Australia's largest beach redevelopment project. He also advised Administrators in regard to the restructure and sale of the Arrium Group in South Australia in 2017 and negotiated amendments to the main contract mining and construction services contracts.

Clive regularly advises clients in regard to establishing resource projects in Asia and Central and West Africa, including negotiating financial arrangements for mining and construction fleet procurement in Japan and Europe.
