• • supporting in the design and development of an overall contracting strategy for the project;
  • developing request documentation, including request for information, request for expressions of interest and request for proposal;
  • developing draft contracts for release with request documentation;
  • supporting legal negotiations; and  
  • providing strategic advice, including in the context of exercising contractual and other legal remedies and related arrangements.

• Part of the team acting for an agency on a grants program focused on ocean discovery and restoration, including:

• • reviewing program documents;
  • developing a template agreement suitable for use for the program;
  • advising on legal risk during evaluations;
  • advising on intellectual property rights and issues; and
  • providing support as needed during agreement negotiation and finalisation.

• Part of the team acting for an agency on some of its most significant information and communications technology (ICT) projects including:

• • multi-phase programs to deliver modern and secure ICT systems;
  • key projects forming part of the agency’s digital sourcing strategy; and
  • projects for the delivery of ICT platforms, system upgrades, telecommunications services, cloud services, data centre services, support services, consultancy services and training services.

• Part of the team acting for an agency on some of its significant procurement processes, including:

• • assisting with the development of procurement strategy;
  • reviewing request documentation, including technical schedules;
  • developing draft contracts for release with request documentation;
  • providing an assessment of legal risk during evaluations;
  • supporting collaborative processes from a legal perspective; and
  • supporting legal negotiations.

• Part of the team advising an agency on ICT-related matters including:

• • advising on software arrangements;
  • development of templates for use in the agency;
  • advising on performance management options and the exercise of contractual and other legal remedies
  • contract interpretation issues; and
  • intellectual property rights issues.
