Real Estate

QIC: Paula recently acted for QIC in the disposal of Banchory Avenue and Castle Mall and assisted with the solar roll out across the QIC Shopping Centre Portfolio. Paula also assisted with the renewal of QIC’s head office in Brisbane.

RG Property: Advising on the acquisition, disposals and leasing of their office and retail assets in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria including advising on and negotiation of management, consultancy and service agreements and other property and asset management matters.

General acquisitions/disposals: Involved in numerous and significant commercial building acquisitions and responsible for drafting and negotiating contracts, carrying out due diligence and proceeding to settle for buildings such as Santos House at 32 Turbot Street, Brisbane (2017), 164 Grey Street, South Brisbane (2019), The Village Dandenong (2020), 410 Queen St, Brisbane (2020), Castle Mall (2022), One Circular Quay (2022). She also has experience is residential and rural acquisitions and disposals. She co-ordinated the property component of Pacific National's purchase of Aurizon's Acacia Ridge Terminal (68 properties and a deal value of $205B).

GWA Group: Advised on the leasing of industrial warehousing and office space throughout Australia (where GWA was Lessee). Paula assisted with the finalisation of GWA's national property strategy involving the relocation of the large majority of their employees, warehousing and logistics operations around the country.

Origin APLNG: Advised on its property management strategy, including drafting leasing and related agreements (where Origin was Lessor).

Service Station Developments (BP Australia):  Paula currently advises BP on their acquisition, development and leasing work in Queensland.  Paula is an integral part of the BP team and is involved in their service station development from the deal structuring stage through to the acquisition process. She continues to work with the team in the construction and development phase and then onto the longer term management and leasing of its service station sites.

Commercial and Retail Acquisitions (Charter Hall):  Paula has assisted Charter Hall in respect of its acquisition of the commercial office assets at Santos Place and 343 Albert Street in Brisbane.  She also acted for Charter Hall in respect of the due diligence and bidding for a retail and commercial mixed use development in Brisbane.

Retail and Commercial Office Portfolio (Rifici Group):   Paula acted for the Rifici Group in the acquisition and development of their extensive office and retail assets in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.  She is responsible for overseeing the leasing of their assets and also provides them with property and asset management advice.

Government Services

Howard Smith Wharves (Brisbane City Council):  Paula is currently advising Brisbane City Council in respect of their involvement in developing the new Howard Smith Wharves Precinct, Brisbane's newest dining and parklands precinct on the river.

Cross River Rail (CRRDA):  Paula is currently assisting the Cross River Rail Delivery Authority with a range of property related aspects of the new Cross River Rail system currently being developed in Brisbane.

Parklands Precinct - Commonwealth Games Village (Economic Development Queensland): Paula is currently advising the Minister for Economic Development Queensland in respect of its involvement in the Parklands Precinct Project, which has been designed to convert the Commonwealth Games Athlete's Village into Queensland's first "Build to Rent" project.

Centre for Children's Health Research (Children's Health Queensland Hospital and Health Service):  Paula has assisted CHQHHS to develop and lease their retail precincts. She drafted and negotiated the leases for the retailing component of both the Hospital and the Research Facility.  Paula has also provided training to the team at CHQHHS on the legal issues around leasing and managing assets.

Logan Renewal Initiative (Department of Housing and Public Works): Paula assisted in the evaluation of the bids lodged by the not-for-profit sector proponents in respect to the request for proposals lodged.

Paula also assisted in drafting legal documentation for the project extending the compliant sub-contract documentation entered into by the selected proponent with its preferred subcontractor for property maintenance and tenancy management services. .
