Kane advises clients on finance and restructuring transactions, ranging from corporate working capital and term facilities to debt restructuring, work-outs and formal insolvency. He has experience advising clients in a broad range of industries, including financial services, mining and mining services, agribusiness, tourism and manufacturing.
Kane was previously the sole Australian in-house counsel at a global asset advisory and lending business.
Global pet food group: Acting for the major shareholder in relation to a restructure of its equity capital and A$475m debt facilities.
Allegiance Coal: Advised controllers appointed by senior secured lenders on their controllership of ASX-listed Allegiance Coal and sale of its mining interests in Canada.
Forum Finance: Acting for a major financier in relation to its exposure to the Forum Group, which was involved in a fraud amounting to over A$500m.
Boeing Corporation: Advised in connection with the voluntary administration of Virgin Australia.
Coronado Global Resources: Advised on Coronado's 2021 US$350m high yield notes offering, US$100m ABL facility and associated intercreditor arrangements and its subsequent $150m ABL facility.
Journey Beyond Group: Advised Hornblower Inc on US$450m acquisition financing facilities provided by US funds in connection with Hornblower Inc's acquisition of Journey Beyond from Quadrant Private Equity.
Agricultural fund manager: Advising on a A$345m syndicated term and revolving loan facility, including an accordion facility, the first facility of its type incurred by the fund.
