Lucy advises on various matters including captive insurance and reinsurance related matters, disputed claims, policy wording analysis and negotiation, and regulatory issues. She has significantly contributed to the successful deregistration of the Australian captive insurer on behalf of the Bank which involved working closely with the Australian regulators.

AIA Australia Limited and associated companies:
Lucy has provided advice in relation to the regulatory ramifications in Australia of an initial public offering and listing of AIA Australia Limited's parent entity in Hong Kong. This matter required a close understanding of the regulatory framework in Australia for life insurers and ASIC and APRA requirements in relation to the indirect change of control of an Australian company.

Lucy is working with the VMIA in drafting, negotiating and settling terms of the insurance and risk provisions of the Project Agreement, and advising the State's Project Manager generally on insurance and reinsurance law matters pertaining to the Project.

Lucy is advising in relation to directors and officers insurance cover and the application of a corporate deed of indemnity.

Department of Defence:
Lucy was a member of the team which advised the Department of Defence and assisted with the tender process and contract negotiations with bidders, in relation to the insurance aspects of a major contract involving the design and construction of new facilities and provision of services.

Commonwealth Department of Health and Ageing:
Lucy was a member of the legal team providing advice to the Department of Health and Ageing and assisting with the tender process and contract negotiations with bidders in relation to the insurance aspects of a major contract involving the management and administration of a hospital.
