Her expertise is grounded on domestic and international experience across a broad range of sectors, including government, health, energy and resources, financial services, education, aviation, tourism and the arts.

Sophie's specialisation is providing commercial and regulatory advice in data-related transactions, digital innovation and technology-led projects.

Sophie is a highly experienced privacy practitioner advising on the full range of privacy and data governance issues, , including global privacy management frameworks, global compliance advice, data sharing and commercialisation, data breach management and response, privacy complaints, access requests and regulator investigations.  

As an in-house lawyer she has been part of the implementation and compliance with global regulatory regimes, including the extra-territorial application of EU data protection laws (including the GDPR), giving her insight into the regulatory complexity and practical challenges of operating under multi-jurisdictional privacy regimes.  Sophie is also certified in privacy practice by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (CIPP/E).
