Philip Dawson is an experienced construction lawyer and a key member of our Construction and Major Projects Group.
His areas of special expertise are advising clients in construction, engineering, procurement and project management contracts and disputes in the rail, resource handling, process engineering, power generation and hospitality industries.
Philip has acted in Supreme Court and Federal Court actions, negotiation, mediation, conciliation, expert determination, adjudication and other dispute resolution alternatives. Philip's clients have come from all participants in the industry, in Australia and overseas.

Construction and Major Projects
Taiwan High Speed Rail Corporation: advising the employer on civil works, depot, trackwork, rolling stock, electrification and signalling contracts, claims and disputes. The US$16 billion THSR project is an entirely new start high-speed railway, linking Taipei and Kaoshiung (345km) and operating Shinkansen (series 700) at speeds up to 300 kph.
