Ben is a senior member of the Corporate, M&A and Capital Markets team, advising some of the region’s most prominent investors on transactions involving financial, infrastructure and real assets.

With a focus on transaction strategy and management, Ben regularly leads deal teams on significant projects that require multi-disciplinary expertise, and serves as a central point of contact for clients and external advisers.

Ben’s significant experience advising inbound investors has helped him develop a deep understanding of Australia’s foreign investment regime.

Recently, Ben managed the team advising Blackstone on its dual-track disposal of the A$3.8 billion "Milestone" industrial logistics platform to ESR and GIC – the largest direct real estate transaction in Australian history.

  • Advised Blackstone on its dual-track disposal of the A$3.8 billion "Milestone" industrial logistics platform to ESR Milestone Partnership, an investment vehicle jointly owned by fund manager ESR and Singapore sovereign wealth fund GIC – the largest direct real estate transaction in Australian history.
  • Advised Blackstone on its A$8.4 billion non-binding indicative offer to acquire 100% of the shares in Crown Resorts Limited (ASX:CWN) by way of scheme of arrangement.

  • Advised MSREI on the formation of industrial logistics development joint ventures with prominent ASX-listed Australian developers.
  • Advised MSREI over several years in relation to investment structures, onshore capitalisation, debt and offshore Limited Partner investments, including FIRB engagement and notifications.

NSW Government

  • Part of the team advising Sydney Metro on the Sydney Metro Southwest Project.
  • Part of the team advising NSW Health with negotiations to develop a private hospital with Macquarie Health at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital by way of concession.
  • Part of the team advising Transport for NSW on the Scoping Study for the sale by the NSW Government on the remaining 49% of its interest in WestConnex.
