Prior to his retirement as a partner of the firm in 2015, Arch Fletcher had been a key partner in our Major Projects and Construction group for almost 30 years.
Since 2015, Arch has been a part-time Consultant to our Major Projects and Construction group, and in that capacity he is called upon regularly to review and comment upon proposed contract documents for a wide range of major projects in Queensland and elsewhere.
Known as an expert problem solver, Arch developed a reputation in the market for his sound advice and drafting skills across a broad range of industry sectors. Clients sought out Arch over many years because of his detailed understanding of project risks and risk allocation on major projects, from both an owner's and a contractor's perspective. Public sector and private sector clients valued Arch's informed approach to selecting the best contract delivery model and his skills in structuring, drafting and negotiating contracts and tender documents for such projects.
In his new role as a Consultant, Arch brings all of that experience and knowledge to the table each time he is asked to review and comment upon a set of proposed project agreements, including PPP agreements, D&C contracts, supply contracts, alliance agreements and consultancy agreements.
Although he has retired from full-time practice, Arch continues to be recognised as a leading construction and major projects lawyer.
