Another successful CLE Intensive series draws to a close

CLE Intensives are panel discussions, presentations, case studies, hypotheticals and Q&As designed for in-house counsel.

Another successful CLE Intensive series has drawn to a close, after nearly 40 sessions across three cities, presented to nearly 800 clients.

Tailored for in-house counsel, the CLE Intensive gives our clients' legal teams a chance to get CLE points before the annual deadline. While our clients have access to CU CLE TV's high-quality, online CLE presentations, our annual Intensives allow them to pick the brains of experts and attend sessions dealing with very hot issues that haven't yet made it to CLE TV.

In Sydney it was our fourth annual CLE Intensive, with approximately 600 client registrations for diverse range of presentations and panel discussions over the two days – a record for the event. In Melbourne, we were also at full capacity, with close to 200 attendees over the course of the one-day program.

Graham Taylor welcomed our Sydney attendees to day one of the program, which kicked off with a special Plenary session – CEP elect Rob Cutler interviewing Business Council of Australia chief Jennifer Westacott and Productivity Commission chair Peter Harris AO on productivity and Australia's competitiveness.

The CLE Intensive continued with a series of panel discussions, presentations, case studies, hypotheticals and Q&As involving both Clayton Utz partners and lawyers, and representatives from a range of key industry and regulatory bodies as well as the broader business community. In all, Sydney hosted 25 sessions in three streams over the course of two days.

Our Melbourne and Perth days were more intense, with attendees going straight into a packed day of sessions ranging from practice management and emerging tax issues, to ethics and risk management, and effective leadership, presented by our own lawyers and experts from business and industry.

It seems from our feedback forms that the clients appreciated the sessions as well, with many saying it was excellent, and focused on relevant issues for in-house counsel.

Thanks to all of our clients and guest speakers for joining us and sharing their views.
