Clayton Utz advises Ironbridge Capital on EnviroWaste sale

Sydney, 15 January 2013: Clayton Utz congratulates leading private equity firm Ironbridge Capital ("Ironbridge") on the NZ$501million sale of EnviroWaste Services Limited ("EnviroWaste") to Hong Kong-listed Cheung Kong Infrastructure Holdings Limited ("CKI"), announced to the market today.

Clayton Utz together with New Zealand firm Webb Henderson jointly advised funds advised and managed by Ironbridge on the sale, which is subject to a number of conditions. Clayton Utz Head of Private Equity David Stammers led the Clayton Utz team advising on the transaction.  

Clayton Utz advised Ironbridge on its acquisition of EnviroWaste in 2007. The firm's Private Equity team has provided strategic legal advice and support to Ironbridge on a number of its acquisitions and divestments since 2005, including, in recent times, the sale of its majority interest inSuper A-Mart to Quadrant Private Equity, the sale of iNova Pharmaceuticals to Valeant Pharmaceuticals International and the sale of the land, building and assets of Healthbridge Hawthorn Private Hospital to Epworth Foundation.

Lead partner David Stammers said Clayton Utz was pleased to support Ironbridge in achieving a successful outcome with this latest transaction, which was executed despite the current challenging market conditions.
