Clayton Utz Canberra relocates to 6 green star rated Nishi building

Canberra, 21 December 2012: Effective today, Clayton Utz has a new Canberra home – the new Nishi commercial development located within the NewActon cultural precinct in Phillip Law Street.

NewActon Nishi is one of Canberra's most environmentally sustainable large-scale office buildings, designed to meet five-star NABERS and six green star ratings.

Some of the sustainability features of the Nishi building include:

  • sustainable forestry sourced timber to shade the complex from sunlight, giving the building one of the largest timber facades in Australia;
  • the largest single-building solar panel installation (400kW) on any commercial building in Australia - classified as a Solar Farm under ACT Government legislation;
  • an under-floor displacement air handling system and a high-performance facade that optimises daylight penetration.

The new street address for Clayton Utz in Canberra is Level 10, 2 Phillip Law Street. The Canberra office telephone number and postal address will remain the same.

In June 2011 Clayton Utz relocated its Sydney office to the landmark 1 Bligh Street development, Australia's first 6-star green rated commercial building.
