New partner: Kathryn Pacey

Kathryn Pacey was appointed on 1 January 2011 as a Partner in the environment and planning group

Kathryn Pacey specialises in environment and town planning law. Her experience includes advising both public and private sector clients on major project environment and planning approvals; environmental management of mining; master planning; vegetation clearing processes; heritage issues; contamination; water licensing; wild river declarations and incident management and compliance issues.

She has provided extensive legal advice to Government and private industry regarding environmental assessments for water projects, approvals for the use and reuse of water and the construction and operation of water infrastructure and advising Government on legislative amendments particularly in relation to delivery of the South East Queensland Water Grid and other major public infrastructure.

Kathryn's client base comprises State and local government and private sector clients, including the Office of the Coordinator-General, the Department of Transport and Main Roads, Tarong Energy Corporation, Brisbane City Council, CS Energy Limited, Stockland, City North Infrastructure Pty Ltd, Cape Alumina and Vale.
