Clayton Utz advising Minara Resources on Glencore takeover offer

Perth, 24 August 2011: Clayton Utz is advising ASX-listed nickel producer Minara Resources Limited in connection with Glencore Investment's (a wholly owned subsidiary of Glencore International plc) off-market takeover offer for the remaining 27% of shares that it does not currently own in Minara Resources.

Glencore has offered minority shareholders in Minara Resources A$0.87cents per share and has valued Australia's second largest producer of nickel, and one of the top 10 nickel producers in the world, at A$1.02 billion.

Clayton Utz Perth Corporate/M&A partner Mark Paganin led the firm's team with support from partner Heath Lewis, senior associate Brett Cohen, and lawyer Matthew Watkins.
