Sydney, 16 September 2010: Clayton Utz is the most represented firm on the ALB Hot 40 list with five lawyers recognised for their contribution to the Australian legal market over the past year.
Chief Executive Partner Darryl McDonough and former Chief Executive Partner David Fagan were both listed in the Strategist category which recognised "meritorious leadership over the last year".
National Equity Capital Markets head Stuart Byrne was listed in the Dealmaker category, reflecting his experience acting on a number of the largest IPOs over the past 12 months, including the A$340m Kathmandu IPO and A$2.3b Myer IPO.
National International Arbitration head Doug Jones AM was acknowledged as a "leading light" for his contribution to promoting Australia as a venue for international commercial arbitrations, and Andrew Jinks' reputation as one of Australia's foremost securitisation lawyers ensured he was recognised amongst the most significant hires of the year.
