Clayton Utz has taken a logical step in its international strategy by recently opening an office in Hong Kong. The office will focus on the core areas of International Arbitration and Construction & Major Projects, growth areas in which Clayton Utz dominates the Australian market. The Hong Kong office will have the full support of the Australian firm, with over 200 partners based in six offices around Australia and Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra, Darwin and Perth.
The office will also provide an Asian platform for the firm's International Arbitration Group to develop its growing presence in the IA space. Head of the Group Doug Jones comments "The increasing level of International Arbitration cases that we are currently seeing flowing through the Asian region provides an exciting opportunity for a firm such as Clayton Utz to integrate itself into the Hong Kong International Arbitration Market and develop the existing reputation we have within Australia".
