What was your first job and what did it teach you? “Gofer” in an architect’s office in the school holidays – it taught me the importance of valuing all hard workers regardless of qualifications or intelligence.

What’s your favourite part of your job? Being part of a team with a diverse range of skills working out the best strategies to deliver positive outcomes for the business.

What keeps you awake at night? My husband’s snoring

When my work/life balance isn’t balanced, I … Take a virtual holiday – surfing the net to destinations I’d like to visit one day when the work / life balance improves

What's the best place you have seen as a tourist and why? Rajasthan – the amazing social contrasts and vibrant colours. The Taj Mahal – a breathtakingly beautiful oasis in the middle of urban ugliness - absolute cliché but extraordinary nonetheless. Angkor Wat and Ta Prohm in Cambodia – the fact that these edifices were built by civilisations that disappeared and were taken back by the jungles for centuries before being rediscovered

If I hadn't become a lawyer, I’d be … a marine biologist
