Clayton Utz partner reappointed to Takeovers Panel

Clayton Utz partner Mark Paganin has been reappointed to the Australian Government Takeovers Panel for a third three-year term.

Mark, who specialises in corporate and M&A law, is the only Perth-based lawyer on the panel and one of six Perth-based panel members.

Mark has a wealth of experience advising on major M&A transactions involving both Australian and foreign corporations.

The Takeovers Panel, which was established in March 2000, is a peer review body that regulates corporate control transactions in widely held Australian entities, primarily by the efficient, effective and speedy resolution of takeover disputes. It currently has 53 part-time members who are drawn predominately from the fields of Australia's business, financial markets and legal communities.

Panel members are appointed by the Governor-General, on the nomination of the Minister for Superannuation and Corporate Law.
