Profile - Jo Teagle

Jo Teagle has recently been appointed Special Counsel in the Melbourne Construction and Major Projects team. Jo joins us from Sydney, where she has been at the helm of Housing NSW 's contracts and strategic procurement groups for the last four years.

Having qualifications in law and a Master of Business Administration, Jo now practises chiefly in the areas of facilities management and public sector procurement. With over 12 years' legal experience in both the public and private sectors, Jo is uniquely positioned to build on the Melbourne team's facilities management expertise.

During her time with Housing NSW, Jo has overseen the Department's Maintenance Reform Program - a $1.6 billion project aiming to fundamentally change the way maintenance services are delivered to its 140,000 properties - and gained invaluable experience regularly presenting to Housing NSW Executive and Ministers concerning legal aspects of construction and maintenance projects.

Jo is keenly involved in pool lifesaving, both as a competitor, coach and official, having travelled to India, the UK and Germany to judge lifesaving competitions most recently. Being new to Melbourne, Jo is currently enjoying exploring all the city has to offer (including the shopping).
