Sydney, 3 May 2002: Clayton Utz has stepped aside as legal advisors to British American Tobacco Australia Services Limited (BATAS) on the McCabe v BATAS appeal.
This is because of a contemplated application by Clayton Utz senior partner Brian Wilson to the Victorian Court of Appeal to seek leave to appear regarding Justice Eames' ruling.
Mr Wilson will be represented by Tom Bathurst QC and Freehills.
BATAS has retained Corrs Chambers Westgarth to act on its behalf in the appeal.
