Litigation Readiness

The purpose of the Litigation Readiness Workshop is to help you gain a better understanding of what your company needs to do to be prepared for any large dispute, litigation or even a Royal Commission.

Overview

Large litigation proceedings – including class actions – are now an established part of the corporate landscape and remain a significant concern for directors and in-house legal teams because of the size of the claims and the drain on both human and financial resources defending such claims can impose.

Even smaller claims where the subject matter of the claim is controversial (such as a significant industrial accident or corporate governance oversight) can place a business under significant commercial and financial pressure.

Intense media scrutiny is also an integral aspect of dealing with large disputes; the Banking Royal Commission is a prime example of this. It follows that dispute management and litigation risk is one which all businesses need to consider carefully. However we appreciate that most businesses are fully focused on their core business and commercial objectives and this is why we have developed the Litigation Readiness Workshop.

The purpose of the Litigation Readiness Workshop is to help you gain a better understanding of what your company needs to do to be prepared for any large dispute, litigation or even a Royal Commission. The Litigation Readiness Workshop is designed to be followed up by our Dispute Management Review, which is cost-effective and time-efficient, and Clayton Utz does the work for you.

If your organisation has a group of staff who would benefit from training, or a specific issue that needs to be addressed, we can customise a workshop to your needs, partnering with you to develop a tailored solution. Please contact us [email protected] 1800 882 110.
