Noble Group: adviser to Fortune Global 100 Noble Group on its recent Australian transactions, including on the A$8 billion merger between Gloucester Coal and Yancoal Australia, a wholly-owned subsidiary of China's Yanzhou Coal Mining Company to create Australia's largest listed pure coal company.

Bright Ruby: we advised Asian investment house Bright Ruby on its over A$400 million acquisition of the Sydney Hilton.

CITIC Pacific Mining: we act for China's largest conglomerate on the A$8 billion Sino Iron Project which is being developed at Cape Preston,100 kilometres south west of Karratha in Western Australia’s Pilbara region.

Australia Pacific LNG: we act as Project Counsel to the joint venture between Sinopec, Origin Energy and ConocoPhillips and advise on all aspects of the A$35 billion Australia Pacific LNG project. We also advised on the US$8.5 billion project financing which was the first time that the export finance arms of the United States and China have co-operated on an Australian project.

Talison Lithium: we advised Talison (the world’s largest producer of lithium ore) on the competing scheme of arrangement proposals, firstly with Rockwood Holdings and subsequently with private company Chengdu Tianqi and China Investment Corporation (CIC), a major State Owned Enterprise.

CIC: we advised on the A$1.415 billion proposed acquisition of the ASX-listed ING Industrial Fund by a Goodman Group led consortium of which CIC are a member.

Viva Macau Limited: we acted for this Macau-based airline on a dispute which arose out of a Charter Agreement entered into by Macau Eagle Aviation Services (now Viva Macau Limited) and the International Charter Group based in Australia.

China Guangdong Nuclear Power Corporation (CGNPC): we advised CGNPC on the successful proportional takeover bid for uranium explorer Energy Metals Limited. We also advised on the subsequent underwritten rights issue conducted by Energy Metals post takeover bid and were mandated to advise on on-going project development issues.

Siemens China: we acted for Siemens China on the Anti-Dumping investigations surrounding the exportation of power transformers to Australia from China. This is the most complex trade measures investigation to be initiated in Australia in recent years.
