We have implemented the AusLSA Environmental Management System (AEMS) which has been independently certified by EY. This allows us to understand and manage our environmental risks, and make plans to minimise our impacts. Some areas of focus have included cutting our waste to landfill by more than 30%, upgrading our printing fleet nationally to a more waste efficient system, and encouraging our people view, sign and share documents electronically to reduce paper use. We have reduced our electricity consumption nationally each year for the last four years and, from FY22, the firm will meet 50% of its electricity needs from renewable sources through the purchase of 100% renewable electricity for its Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra offices. The firm will continue to look at ways in which it can increase its electricity from renewable sources.
