We don't just give to our communities, we work with them.
Community Connect programs in all our offices provide opportunities for our people to volunteer and fundraise for the charities we have a connection with. We run skills workshops in women's prisons, participate in a 450kms cycle challenge to fundraise for people living with a disability and write over 4,300 letters in a year to children in disadvantaged communities. Every partner and permanent employee is entitled to a paid community leave day each year in order to assist with and experience first-hand the work done by our community partners and Pro Bono clients. In FY2018 over 29% of the Firm volunteered through these programs.
Clayton Utz develops relationships with our Community Partners that connects our people and uses their resources, skills and enthusiasm. The Firm co-ordinates in-kind support, including the provision of our meeting rooms and venues, collecting excess supplies and facilitating access to training and support. Our people fundraise for our community partners with over $125,000 raised in FY2018, directly for charities which is in addition to grants given by the Clayton Utz Foundation. With over 20 Community Partners nationally Clayton Utz supports the communities in which we live and work all over Australia.
