advising clients on the proposed Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme;
assisting with a number of major carbon offset projects;
advising on Western Australia's first geosequestration project;
providing advice on the acquisition of Clean Development Mechanism project credits;
advising on Western Australia's first trade of greenhouse credit under the Australian Greenhouse Friendly programme; and
advising clients on renewable energy credits and the national carbon reporting legislation.
Planning:
representing clients before the State Administrative Tribunal;
advising clients on structure plans, development approvals and contributions;
liaising with government department agencies;
amending town planning schemes and planning policies; and
prosecutions advice.
Environment:
advising on project approvals;
preparing contractual documentation;
representing clients before the Western Australia Supreme Court and the Magistrate's Court;
advising owners on the remediation and sale of contaminated commercial property;
advising clients on water legislation and trading; and
due diligence reviews.
