TTF-Clayton Utz-Insights

04 June 2009

Welcome to Clayton Utz' newsletter for Tourism & Transport Forum members.

As we come to the end of a challenging financial year, we look at three issues that have particular importance in the current economic situation:

  • infrastructure financing - how is it changing in response to current conditions?
  • some responsible entities may decide to alter their funds' constitution to suspend redemption requests - how should this be done?
  • with commercial office vacancy rates increasing in Australia, it is a great time to be – and to attract - a desirable tenant.

We also examine the NSW Government's plan to sell Crown land to raise revenue and learn that buying Crown land has some special features, while TTF puts the case for appropriate tourism development in National Parks. Finally, we investigate whether your neighbours have any right to sue you when you lodge a Development Application.

Managed funds - Amending a fund's constitution in the current economic climate

By Klay Brown.
