Profile: Nick Thomas

Nick is a partner in the Sydney Environment & Planning group, specialising in environment, planning, water and government law.

A truly diverse lawyer, Nick’s practice covers a wide range of issues in these areas, including Federal and State planning and environmental impact assessment, land contamination, pollution control, resources management, heritage management, compulsory acquisition and land valuation, and government decision-making and policy. He has a keen interest in the application of sustainability principles to both specific development projects and entire corporate operations.

Nick acts for clients in relation to transactional work, assessment and approvals processes, operations and compliance, and incident management. His experience extends to drafting legislation and planning instruments, as well as environmental auditing and due diligence.
