Real Estate Markets Insights

25 July 2007

Welcome to the July edition of Real Estate Markets Insights, in which we'll examine the future for two hot topics: green buildings and property derivatives. Although they might seem very different things, they are both at an interesting stage, in which they're both buzz-words, but the regulatory and business aspects are still evolving. Where will green buildings be in the next few years? And will Australia develop a market for property derivatives? We'll try to answer both questions in this edition.

We also look at the problems that can emerge from lease negotiations - what you say during them could rebound on you if you’re not careful - and the Barangaroo Project on Sydney's foreshores, which is expected to be a benchmark waterfront renewal project of international status.
