On the first of January, Owen was appointed partner in our national Construction and Major Projects teams. Owen joined the firm as a graduate in 1995, and has also worked in our Corporate and Banking and Financial Services teams.
Owen practises in the specialist area of privately and publicly funded infrastructure projects and has had significant involvement in a number of major infrastructure projects, equipment procurement projects and the outsourcing of maintenance and other services. He has extensive experience in the structuring, tendering, documentation and contract administration of major projects involving multiple stakeholders.
Owen adopts a proactive approach to transactions in which he is involved and adds value by quickly identifying the key risks and ensuring that the contractual documentation addresses those risks in a clear and unequivocal manner which is commercially acceptable to all parties. Owen's clients describe him as responsive, efficient, creative and commercially savvy. He has a "can-do" attitude and his drafting skills are described as first rate.
On weekends, Owen enjoys keeping fit, playing golf and spending time at the beach with his wife and two young boys.
