What's the best place you have seen as a tourist and why? Rajasthan – the amazing social contrasts and vibrant colours. The Taj Mahal – a breathtakingly beautiful oasis in the middle of urban ugliness - absolute cliché but extraordinary nonetheless. Angkor Wat and Ta Prohm in Cambodia – the fact that these edifices were built by civilisations that disappeared and were taken back by the jungles for centuries before being rediscovered
