Key Points:
Name? Andrew Peters
Current position and organisation? General Counsel - Enertrade
What was your first job and what did it teach you? My first real job was my articles of clerkship. My boss told me as a lawyer, you have no right to manage your client's affairs if you can't manage your own. Good advice!
What's your favourite part of your job? Solving complex problems. The energy business has plenty of those.
What keeps you awake at night? Mosquitoes. Occasionally my conscience.
When my work/life balance isn't balanced, I … try to work a bit harder!
What's the best place you have seen as a tourist and why? Positano, Italy - great gelato on a beautiful coastline
If I hadn't become a lawyer, I'd be a … more popular person ?
My next big challenge is ... Not sure yet, but I am into new challenges and reinventing - That's my new life philosophy.
If you had to put your philosophy of life onto a t-shirt, what would it say? Ignoring the last answer – perhaps an American Civil War poem: "Sound sound the clarion, fill the fife, throughout this sensual world proclaim, one crowded hour of glorious life is worth an age with a name." [better order an extra large]
