Profile: James Stellios

Key Points:

James Stellios joined Clayton Utz as a Consultant in the Canberra Office in 2005. He is an Associate Professor at the Australian National University College of Law, specialising in public law and international law, and has published widely in those areas.

Before joining the ANU in 2001, James was Counsel Assisting the Solicitor-General of Australia, appearing as junior counsel for the Commonwealth in a range of High Court and Federal Court cases and providing advice to Commonwealth departments and agencies. He has also been a senior lawyer with the Australian Government Solicitor and a senior legal officer at the High Court of Australia. He holds a Master of Laws from Cornell University.
