Welcome to our first issue of Discrimination and Diversity Insights, formerly Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Insights. The new name reflects what are emerging themes arising from the modern Australian workplace. To highlight some of the issues this special edition is dedicated to workplace flexibility.

Both the Commonwealth and Victoria are reforming workers' rights to flexibile workplace arrangements, and we look at these in detail. The action isn't only at the legislative level; courts are also looking at it. In this edition we'll examine the latest court ruling on return to work guarantees.
