Key Points:
Our partners and staff have been deeply saddened by the loss of one of our longest-serving and most respected partners, Greg James, who passed away earlier this month after a battling a cancer-related illness.
Greg spent his entire legal career at Clayton Utz, joining the firm in July 1981 as a solicitor and becoming a partner on 1 January 1990. Greg spearheaded the development of our Equity Capital Markets practice, helping grow it into one of the most successful in Australia.
"Greg was an exceptional person and a very special part of this firm," said Chief Executive Partner David Fagan. "He cared passionately about his family, the people he worked with, his fellow partners, and his clients. We will miss his camaraderie and dry sense of humour."
Greg is survived by his wife Margaret-Mary, and their four children, Hannah, Morgan, Charlotte and Celeste.
