Darryl McDonough to be our next CEP

Key Points:

On 1 July, Darryl McDonough will formally take over from David Fagan as Chief Executive Partner of Clayton Utz.

Darryl has had a long association with the firm. A corporate lawyer and experienced public company director, Darryl joined Clayton Utz in 1993 and is a former Chair of the Clayton Utz Board.

"Darryl is a strong leader with wide-ranging commercial and board experience. He possesses an unwavering commitment to Clayton Utz, its values and its culture. He has the skills, vision and drive to guide the firm through its next stage of development," said Clayton Utz' Board Chair, Linda Evans.

Darryl has been working closely with David Fagan and the management team over the last few months as he prepares for the top job. He has been a familiar face in our offices around the country, and attended our recent Alumni function in London as well as speaking at the official opening of our Hong Kong office.

"Clayton Utz as a firm is committed to excellence. Making sure we maintain and build on that commitment is one of my priorities and I look forward to leading the firm into the next decade," said Darryl.

Linda praised David's enormous contribution to the firm as Chief Executive Partner since 2001.

"David Fagan has been an outstanding Chief Executive Partner. Clayton Utz has grown and developed enormously during David's term and his leadership, diligence and hard work have been integral to the firm's success."

In another senior appointment, Stuart Clark will take on the role of the firm's Chief Operating Officer on 1 July. Stuart currently heads our national Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice.
