Welcome to the June special edition of Carbon Insights where we will discuss the "devil in the detail" of the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Scheme which commences next week. Yesterday, the Federal Government released the long awaited National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Regulations, as well as the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Amendment Bill 2008. Earlier this afternoon, the legislative instrument under the Act which prescribes the methods of calculating emissions and energy production/consumption under the Scheme was also released.
