Profile - Ninian Lewis

Key Points:

Since joining Clayton Utz, Ninian has principally practised in securitisation. He also has significant experience in "vanilla" capital markets transactions, derivatives and trade sales of loan books.

In securitisation he has been the principal lawyer on ground-breaking transactions including Australia's first synthetic securitisation and Australia's first issuance from an SEC shelf registration. His clients include a number of investment banks and Australian trading banks and he regularly acts in issuances into the Australian, U.S. and Euro capital markets.

Ninian is active on Australian Securitisation Forum sub-committees and has written submissions to ASIC, the Commonwealth Treasury and APRA on behalf of the ASF.

Ninian also has wide experience in OTC derivatives including interest rate swaps, credit swaps and FX and electricity transactions. His OTC derivatives work includes regular drafting of structured credit derivatives.
