Prestigious appointment for Clayton Utz consultant

Key Points:

Clayton Utz consultant (and former partner) Nancy Milne is the new Chair of the International Bar Association’s Insurance Committee, reflecting her worldwide reputation as a leading insurance lawyer.

The Insurance Committee is one of 50 specialist committees within the Legal Practice Division of the IBA (a global association of around 16,000 lawyers and 190 Law Societies and Bar Associations).

The Committee promotes the sharing of information about developments in insurance and reinsurance law and markets throughout the world, and also provides specialist knowledge to assist in the efficient solution of practical insurance problems. In the coming year, it’s expected to consider conflicts of interest in the financial services industry and new risks such as terrorism and war risks. As Chair, Nancy will be in an excellent position to share her expertise internationally, and we wish her all the best in her new role.
