Jane Paskin is a member of the Financial Services Group, specialising in product development advice, licensing, disclosure, contracting and distribution issues relating to products and services in the financial services industry.
Jane has extensive experience in superannuation and pension products, including superannuation litigation. She advises trustees of their duties and obligations under the Superannuation Industry (Supervision) Act, the Corporations Act and trust law generally.
Jane has been involved in the negotiation of the superannuation aspects of many mergers and acquisitions.
Jane often participates in industry forums as a guest speaker. She presented on the Safety in Super legislation at the IFSA Stocktake Conference, and also lectures on Superannuation and Funds Management in the University of NSW Master of Law course. This is the first specialist combined funds management and superannuation law course in Australia and has been developed in conjunction with the Clayton Utz Financial Services team.
Jane presented at the International Bar Association Conference in Auckland on 27 October 2004. She is part of a panel session discussing "Employee benefits in global spin-offs and demergers", along with other speakers on the panel from Canada, Germany, London, New York, Cleveland, France and South Africa.
