Clayton Utz appoints new Board members

Sydney, 10 November 2008: National law firm Clayton Utz is pleased to announce the appointment of Peter Hawkins and Duncan Boyle as external directors of its Board.

Both Mr Hawkins and Mr Boyle have extensive business experience at both executive and board level in Australia and internationally.

Mr Hawkins held a number of senior leadership roles at ANZ in Australia and overseas during a career spanning 34 years. Prior to retiring from the bank in December 2005, Mr Hawkins was Head of Group Strategic Development with responsibility for expanding and reshaping ANZ's businesses, and for mergers, acquisitions and disposals.

Mr Hawkins is currently a director of the boards of Visa Inc., Mirvac Group, St George Bank, Treasury Corporation of Victoria, Liberty Financial Pty Ltd and Camberwell Grammar School.

Mr Boyle possesses extensive financial services and general business experience gained both in Australia and internationally over 33 years at both chief executive and board level with Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance Group, a major international insurance and financial services company with operations in the UK, Australia and New Zealand. He also has significant mergers, acquisitions, disposals and risk management experience.

Mr Boyle is currently a director of the boards of QBE Limited and Stockland Limited.

Mr Hawkins replaces Sir Ross Buckland and Mr Boyle replaces Fergus Ryan.
