Australian lawyer seals association with London's award winning Atkin Chambers

Sydney, 28 September 2005: Recognised as one of Australia's pre-eminent construction and public private partnership lawyers, Professor Doug Jones AM from Clayton Utz is one of a number of Australian lawyers who have been driving Sydney's claim as an influential southern hemisphere seat for International Arbitration. As well as serving as senior vice president ACICA (The Australian Centre for International Commercial Arbitration), and on a number of other international arbitral bodies, Doug Jones had the honour earlier this year of being accepted as an Arbitrator Door Tenant at London's Atkin Chambers.

Earlier this year Atkin became the first London barristers' chambers to be awarded the prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise. Last week the Chambers was further honoured, being awarded the London Construction Set of the Year 2005, by Chambers and Partners at the UK Bar Awards.
