
Australian Taxation Office: Leading the teams advising the ATO on its first and second phases of its ICT outsourcing and select sourcing requirements. The transactions have exceeded $3 billion in value. Also advised on software/licensing (including open source licensing), hardware acquisition, integration, outsourcing, performance (KPI/SLA) and governance requirements and methodology.
Department of Immigration and Citizenship: Advised on a range of ICT sourcings including change program initiatives as well as cloud computing.
Centrelink: Advised on a number of procurements, including for electricity supplies, software and a range of services.
Department of Finance and Deregulation: Advised the Department on a number of whole of government ICT initiatives and a number of system integrator procurements including for the budget system and for the establishment of the single government business entry point for the Commonwealth of Australia, www.australia.gov.au. Work has included engagement of an IT system designer and integrator, establishing arrangements to adhere to regulatory requirements in relation to electronic transfers of information, and related intergovernmental agency agreements to support the operation of the system. Advised on Smartcard and telecommunications requirements.
Department of Health and Ageing: Advising the Department on a range of complex transactions, including the related regulatory regime. Work includes advice on operators of PET and MRI facilities to obtain funding/Medicare eligibility, hospitals and other infrastructure projects, online medical services, blood pooling arrangements, outsourcing contracts, intergovernmental agreements and procurement of special vaccines and products for distribution or stockpiling.
Department of Defence: Advising Defence on a range of equipment procurements and telecommunications transactions. Advised on the Long Term Mulwala Redevelopment Agreement relating to the PPP project for the redevelopment of the Mulwala site and propellant facility. Work included advising on the D&C contract and RFT for the construction of the facility and drafting and advising on the long term PPP supply contract as well as amendments to the Mulwala Agreement.
Australian Hearing Services (AHS): Advised AHS on a range of major procurements of hearing devices from Siemens and related products (ear moulds, ear impression material, batteries, etc) from other suppliers. As well as procurement advice and contract drafting and negotiation Alexandra advises AHS on governance and regulatory compliance including under its enabling legislation, the Commonwealth Authorities and Companies Act 1997, Uhrig Review, Privacy Act 1988 and other laws that impact on AHS.
Reviews: Advised on a number of program and project reviews as well as governance reviews.
Funding: Advised on a number of complex government funding initiatives including the Clean Energy Initiative (for renewable energy sources including solar and CCS as well as emerging technologies) for the Department of Resources, Energy and Tourism, capital funding initiatives for Department of Health and Ageing and Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs relating to the construction of health and educational complexes in regional Australia and e-health funding initiatives for the Department of Health and Ageing.
